Do y'all think it's possible that Lucas could turn out to be a DiMera? There's been some rumblings on some forums about that possibility, and I was just wondering what y'all thought. I like that he's a Horton and don't want that to change, but they change stuff all of the time, so it wouldn't surprise me if they were to change that.Rebecca Jillhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18262004084187699127noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7739154173989488225.post-65632164071216135532007-09-06T07:15:00.000-07:002007-09-06T07:15:00.000-07:002007-09-06T07:15:00.000-07:00Hi Debbie and Anne,I just started listening to the...Hi Debbie and Anne,

I just started listening to the podcast yesterday and ended up listening to every episode, and I am now all caught up. (I had a project for work to do until the early hours of the morning last night, so it was a thrill to have y'all to listen to.)

I started watching Days really on in life in the late 70s, since my Mom watched and remember Nick's parents, Joshua and Jessica, and his grandparents, Alex and Marie. Alex was always a treat to watch.

I also loved Tony when he was on. The height of his storyline around 1984/85, I was only about 10 or 11, but I was taken in by him, and I loved Anna, too. I remember Renee, too. So, I'm so glad to finally have the real Tony back. I knew something was up all of those other times he was on, but I didn't know what and was always mad that they had changed him.

I have only watched the show off and on since college, but one couple that I had wanted for them to get together for years was Sami and Lucas, and I'm glad to finally see them together. I remember when Lucas first came on my freshman year in college back in 1993 and thought they should get together back then and would get so mad about them going on and on about Carrie and Austin.

And this whole rapist storyline with EJ gets under my skin. When Sami was raped by Alan, they had Lucas beat him up, and Sami ended up shooting his balls off, so for her to be like the way she is with EJ is just not cool. Rape is not romance, no matter what.

I started rewatching the show this summer on SoapNet when I found out they were going to get to the bottom of this whole DiMera/Brady feud, but like y'all, it's being too dragged out with the whole Colleen and Santo letter reading. It has been really good to see Doug and Julie again, though.

Jeremy may be a little messed up due to his dad being with Carrie there for a little while, but no excuse to make him a complete jerk, though I liked that they created him and Nick from historical characters of the show instead of just thin air, even if those characters haven't been on the show in years. And I do not think Nick had been born yet when Joshua and Jessica left the show, but I don't completely remember.

I would love to see a whole quadrangle between Tony, Anna, Roman and Kate. Anna and Kate would be great with their snarky comments toward one another, and they need to have them connect in some way, since Anna is Carrie's mom and Kate is Austin's mom.

Y'all's podcast has been great helping me fill in the blanks from the summer before I started watching, since Sami and Lucas's most beautiful and wonderful green wedding. And I look forward to listening to future podcasts.

Thanks so much!Rebecca Jillhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18262004084187699127noreply@blogger.com
